Description
This is a 1933 SIGNED LETTER (see picture) from deceased DETROIT MAYOR and UNITED STATES SENATOR JAMES COUZENS. Dated February 13, 1933, this typed letter deals with a constituent's concerns over two proposed bills. James Couzens was Vice-President and General Manager of FORD MOTOR COMPANY, MAYOR OF DETROIT from 1919 through 1922, and then UNITED STATES SENATOR from 1922 until his death in October 1936 at age 64. This letter is clean and intact, exhibiting light wear and folds from handling and storage over the past 88 years. The original envelope, canceled in February 1933, is included! The signature is clean and legible; I trust its authenticity because the autopen didn't become commercially available until 1937. This letter would make a nice addition to your own collection, or it would make a great gift for that James Couzens enthusiast, Michigan historian, or vintage autograph collector in your life! Postage is .00. And, of course I'll combine postage on multiple purchases. Sorry, NO international shipping. Be sure to check the other items in my eBay store, too!
