    Description

    East African Five Shillings Paper Note - Queen Elizabeth -Issued by The East African Currency Board in1950s or earlier. Cannot locate date on bill. Acquired in 1959 and it wasn't new at that time. Out of circulation since 1959. All the Shilling and Half Shilling coins were dated late 40s & early 50s. Presume this bill is from the same period. The "A" in the serial number probably means it was the earliest printed group of this design. Questions or comments? Please message me.
