    This is for a pair, two, original 1944 bank notes from Japan during Occupation by the United States.  We are pretty sure of year because these were inside of a letter home from an American G.I. and we are selling the letter too, marked and dated by soldier 1944.
    These two notes say on front on a sea of blue "1" and center is marked "The Japanese Government ONE SHILLING" and has a beach scene on right and fruits, etc., on left side with large "1", also has Japanese writing on left circle and bottom center.  Also stamped or marked in red on top left and right "OC" and Back side says "1" on left, center, right and all four corners and gorgeous designs.
    There is slight discoloration to paper and some fold marks but NO rips, tears or holes and back of one note has a red blemish in center.  Please see pictures.  These sell upwards of per and we are starting at ten dollars for both!
    Approximately 5.5" x just under 2.75".
